We enjoyed our stay. The stairs are a bid steep for my old knees, and the lighting was almost non-existent. The location of the house is wonderful. The inside of thehouse itself could use a bit of updating - maybe fresh paint and better lighting over the table. Would definately stay again.

This house has a fantastic view of the ocean. I'm guessing that's why it was expensive per night. For the rate we paid we expected it to be in much better shape. The cupboards were dirty inside and out. There were dirty dishes in the cupboard. We realized on the last day that the soap dispenser in the dishwasher didn't dissolve the soap pod, hence dirty dishes and silverware. The linoleum in the kitchen is lifting up. No liquid dish soap to hand wash anything. Kitchen and bathroom poorly stocked, paper goods, no spare batteries for remotes which were dead, no colander. Front slider door can barely be opened. Raggedy and filthy potholders that should be replaced. Few spare blankets and the ones there also raggedy and had holes and were lumpy. Very poor lighting throughout house. No dishrags or clean sponges available. Furniture dirty and uncomfortable. Walls are dirty. Paint peeling on bathroom cabinets. Basically lacks good cleaning and maintenance over a long period of time.

We've been renting houses in Cambria for 28 years. We always travel with our dogs and usually have to settle for uncomfortable houses. Snug Harbor is our dream come true. The view from the deck is amazing. The proximity to the ranch is perfect for our morning runs. And we love all the neighbors, herds of deer wandering in the yards, flocks of birds singing in the trees and bunnies hopping through the fields. Everything in the house worked. We look forward to returning soon.

We’ve stayed in this property 7 times...and love it. Unfortunately, they are no longer allowing pets here so we won’t be able to rent it again and we truly are sorry at this development. The view from the living room is spectacular and a main reason we loved it. There are some relatively minor issues...the dish washer doesn’t work well and the back deck is no longer as private as it once was but we kept coming back because it really was a perfect setup for us and our dog. The neighbors are lovely and the proximity to Fiscalini Trails is a plus. We will miss it!

We are Desert Rats...and we love our home in Tucson, Arizona, but it is unbearable in the summer and we head to Cambria every year...and it never disappoints.

Snug Harbor was perfect for our family, great location to the ranch and ocean. The house had everything we needed in a quiet neighborhood.

It was the perfect birthday get away. The house was comfortable and roomy for us all. I would have liked the coffee pot to work better and the T.V to work downstairs. But it was a good time had by all.

Home was accurately described, had lots of outside seating, beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and easy access to beach. But it not as well kept as other Scenic Coast properties. Hot water heater ran out after one shower, windows and doors need some attention, outside porch needs to be repaired, layout is awkward because the master bedroom and bath has to be shared with another bedroom, lightbulbs out, and downstairs TV didn't work.

We enjoyed our stay at Snug Harbor. Very convenient location and the views from the living and dining room are beautiful. Well equipped kitchen except a bit short on spices. The house was very clean and comfortable.. We would surely stay there again. (keep in mind there are quite a few stairs to enter)

Snug Harbor Beach House is close to everything Cambria! The ocean, deer, nice and welcoming people, East Village, West Village, Blue Corn Eagles, Wine Tasting Rooms, Elephant Seals, ocean views ... EVERYTHING Cambria. We could not have picked a better home to stay in for the weekend. The home was safe, clean, discuss, and the deck was everything! Thank you Snug Harbor Beach House for helping my friends and I create new memories in your dreamy town. We'll be back!

This is the fifth year we've rented this house for the month of August and we already signed up for 2022. The views are breathtaking and we love the 's small and has everything we need...cheerful fireplace, guest bedroom with bath downstairs, deck in back, side deck with dining table, front deck and absolutely gorgeous views across the length of the living room. That said, the house could really use some TLC as mentioned by some other reviews. The dryer had tape to keep it secured shut and this is the second year it's been like that. A dash of touch up paint here and there and fixing the window coverings in the living room would really make a difference. But overall, it is a fabulous home away from home. Add that our dog is welcome 's pretty much paradise.

Our family had a wonderful week in Cambria at the Snug Harbor house. It is in an excellent location, within walking distance to tide pools and the Fiscalini preserve, which we walked several times. It is a 3-5 minute drive to Moonstone beach and the lovely villages. There was so much to do and a comfortable home to come back and relax in. There are a lot of stairs to contend with, but that was not a problem for our family. The view of the ocean was spectacular from the living room and watching the beautiful sunset from the deck each night was heaven. The master bed was comfortable, but the other two, not. Take pillows with you. It was great to use the garage to park in and use the washer and dryer. The master shower is difficult to get in and out of and the hand held head awkward. The outside grounds need tending- a lot of spider webs and plants are quite overgrown. There were not enough paper products when we arrived, so a trip to the store was needed our first night. We couldn’t access the TV our first 2 days, even with the instructions posted. A loose connection was discovered. The Scenic Coast PM kindly helped us with the Roku code. Check in and out was very quick and simple. The home is older with some slight repairs needed, but overall, a wonderful place to vacation. We appreciate the opportunity and recommend it.

We spent 3 nights in Snug Harbor and loved it. The house is located very close to the coast, in a quiet and lovely residential neighborhood and offers a gorgeous view of the ocean and the sunsets. The house is spacious and pleasantly decorated with a full kitchen in which we found everything we needed. Having the garage on the ground floor was a plus. Checking in and out was a breeze. Everything was perfect and I would gladly come back for another relaxing stay.

This house won’t disappoint! The views are wonderful the neighborhood is quite and there is a lot of deers to watch. Pet friendly for your furnbaby too! This wasn’t our first time at this house and won’t be our last.

We were very comfortable and felt "at home" during our stay at Snug Harbor. We especially enjoyed the view and proximity to Fiscalini Ranch. It should be noted that there are steep stairs from the lower level to main living area and a "huge step" into the soaking tub/shower on the main level (there is a shower stall in the downstairs bath). We would definitely stay here again.

The house needs a bit of TLC, but the view was amazing. Saw a whale breach just as we arrived! Our older dog had a hard time negotiating the stairs, so we took her in and out through the back bedroom sliding door. House had everything we needed and "no-touch" check-in was a breeze. Very clean.

Very well-appointed home with comfortable beds. Upstairs bath&shower could be difficult to use for a senior. Easy access to everything Cambria has to offer.

Our stay was fine. No major complaints at all. However, a new bbq would be safer and cleaner. Sparks fall thru in the wind and the grill was dirty and rusty. Also, the blind in the lower bed room are broken and need to be replace. And we could not find the property instruction manual.

Cambria is such a relaxing quiet peaceful place tp atay, its my go to. I enjoy running the trails at the ranch and visiting the dog beaches near by. Great people and beautiful scenery.

We spent most of a week here in late September. Had 100% perfect weather the entire time. Lots of deer and other wildlife. Hiking, beaching, relaxing. Great sunset views.

Beautiful, Cozy Beach House! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. The front balcony view! Breath taking, really! Every morning the first place I would go was straight for the balcony to watch the fog slowly disperse and turn into the prettiest blue ocean.
The beds were cozy. Blankets and bath towels were plentiful.
I noticed a oscillating fan in the master bedroom (we brought three from home- love that white noise). Appreicate the doggie bowls in the pantry, and the thoughtfulness of the doggy gates at the entrances of all the stairs outside!
One thing that needs to be updated is the kitchen utensils, spatulas and maybe a better set of knives. Otherwise, everything was great!

Note to property management/owners- master toilet is very weak and the water runs, we had to fix it a couple of times through the week. Also, the dryer door does not latch so our clothes would take forever to dry. We had to push a laundry basket up against the door to keep it shut.

All in all those things were minor and we enjoyed our beach house and hated to leave to come home to 103 degree valley heat! We cannot wait to visit again! Thank you for sharing such a lovely and cozy home with us! See photos on IG

With tide pools and the trails at Fiscalini ranch so accessible this was a great choice for us. Town is close by too, but with deer strolling down the street it was easy to feel miles away from everything. The view is spectacular and the deck provided ample outdoor space. The property is a bit worn and dated, but clean and the location is excellent.

We have stayed in Cambria many times and several different areas. This home had the most amazing views of any of them. It was great for three couples. One point to consider is there are al lot of stairs and a steep driveway so people with disabilities might be challenged here. Otherwise it was a perfect place.

The house had everything we needed and beautiful views of sunsets. The livingroom furniture was comfortable. We appreciated it was dog friendly. It wasn't far to a dog friendly beach. It did have stairs from the garage to the living area that were a bit steep. The downstairs bed was quite low. The upstairs tub was high to step into. I mention these things for seniors. Loved being in the Cambria area.

We love Cambria and this house is perfect...a nice walk to Fiscalini and lots of dog happy streets in between!

We had a delightful time staying in this well-stocked vacation rental located in Marine Terrace. The 180 degree view of the ocean was breathtaking as were the sunsets. Our little dogs enjoyed our walks to Lampton Cliffs and the east-west trail on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.

Snug Harbor is our favorite rental in Cambria, which we have been visiting regularly for years. The location is ideal (a short walk to the bluff trail and Fiscalini Ranch preserve), a short drive to the great Cambria village restaurants (the Black Cat and Robin's never disappoint!). The house is spotless and well-equipped, beds are comfy, and while the outside spaces are not fenced in or entirely secure for dogs, it is easy to manage the areas to keep the dogs safe and have access to the charming deck spaces. The garage access to the house makes it easy to load / unload dogs after long and muddy / salty walks on the ranch or romps on the beach.

The house is well located and well maintained. It'a an excellent destination if you are traveling with your pet.

This home was in the right location and great set-up for our family of 5 to spend over New Years. Walks every day and at sunset to Fiscalini park were a highlight and the dog friendly home made our little chihuahua, Gus, very happy!

The home was spacious and comfortable. The view was wonderful. Nice quiet neighborhood. Great parking. Must be able to climb stairs. A.T. AND T doesn't work on the property, house phone would not pick up and no Wifi.

Overall, the house was comfortable. We enjoyed the ocean view. Having the gas log fireplace to warm up the cool mornings was a plus. We dined at the Sea Chest the 1st night and stayed in and cooked the 2nd & 3rd nights. The slider door access to the backyard was convenient for our 2 doggies. A couple suggestions for improvement: 1)the king bed downstairs felt more like a futon; 2)a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen would be nice.

Location great. Quiet street, very little traffic. Enjoyed full ocean view every morning while coffee brewing. Sunsets from living room and front deck (when warm enough) even better than the mornings.

Loved the house. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable seating in living room, comfortable beds, beautiful views off the front deck, fabulous location. Only request would be if they could put a little gate in front of the steps going down off the back patio, which is off the bedroom. This would really make it fully "dog friendly".

My wife and I and our Scottie dog had a very relaxing 6 day stay here. Although the house was much larger than we needed, we loved the fact that it was so close to the ocean and had panoramic views of the ocean from the lounge, kitchen and front deck areas.
We particularly liked the deck area just outside the kitchen, which was sheltered from any cool winds, was in a sunny position and was perfect for eating meals outside and watching the sunset.

The house was very comfortably furnished, had every kitchen gadget you could wish for, for those that like to prepare some meals at the house.
The house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood, which we appreciated. It's very
close to the coastal trails so we took advantage everyday of walking from the house over to the trails ... our dog loved it!
There is a lot of wildlife nearby and every day, families of deer would roam the neighborhood and seemed quite at ease there.
It was the first time our dog had seen a deer and didn't quite know what to make of it. Our dog and the deer just froze on the spot, looked at each other for awhile and then just carried on meandering.
We also saw some sea otters as we walked the coastal trail although unexpectedly, we found the greatest concentration of otters (a raft) at Morro Bay, near the Morro Bay Rock.
There are about 30 that seem to live there permanently, including mothers and their babies and being right next to the land you get a real close up experience watching them. Wild life volunteers are often there and set up binoculars and scopes for the public to look at them more closely.
The house proved to be a great base for us to explore the surrounding central coast area and a nice place to return to each day.
Everybody we met walking around the neighborhood and on the trails were very friendly...a lot of people like to walk their dogs there.
We would definitely stay here again when we need a quiet getaway vacation on the central

We loved this house and are grateful to the owners for sharing this cozy, comfortable, beautifully decorated modern retreat. Walking distance to Fiscalini and just a few blocks from the ocean, this is the 3rd time we've rented in Cambria and our favorite house so far. The property managers do a great job also...we had a small issue with the upstairs toilet and called them on Saturday morning, saying it wasn't urgent but we would like it fixed when convenient...they had someone out to fix it within 2 hours. We were really impressed!

Our Memorial Day vacation to Cambria each year is something we always look forward to. We love bringing our friends and family to experience the love we have for the Central Coast. We have tried two other rental properties and only like to work with Scenic Coast. We never have to worry about any issues and know our stay will be memorable. Thank you.
