Oceanfront Escape

This house is wonderful! It was perfect for a few friends and their families to get together. The house was clean and the beds were so comfortable. The location cannot be beat, being steps down to the ocean. The check in process was so easy as well!

Location was excellent, but I do have a few constructive comments The living room rug is worn and filthy. The carpet in general could use a good clean. More wine glasses But we loved the location

Fabulous! Second time staying here with family, the beach is not crowded at all and kids had a great time. House is well equipped and easily accommodated 6adults and 3 children.

This property was absolutely amazing! Beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. One of the most relaxing stays we’ve ever had. I hope we make it back for another trip in the future!

This the second time we have stayed here. My family loves it here! My wife and I celebrated our 56 anniversay; our son and his wife, 22 years. Hope to come back again.

This is our third or fourth time at this same unit and the location and property is exceptional. Very calm and relaxing. Close enough to drive to town but more than enough space to feel uncrowded.

Had all ages 2 years old to seniors. Used pretty much as a day only use; breakfast, getting ready for attending a family event by several, few of us did work from remote. Its your typical beach home. No real complaints. Beds are a bit low brow. hard, not much fluff and fair.

Beds a litel hard and not teh greatest for an older back.

We loved our Ocean View Escape vacation. PG&E turned off the electricity from 9pm to 10am on our last day! We were well supplied with lights, and it was fine (except we went to town for morning coffee!!) The kitchen was well worn, and well supplied with everything we needed for cooking and preparing meals. We also enjoyed many meals in Cambria. I would recommend this place for location and view.

2nd year staying here. It was amazing AGAIN. Great job improving the wifi, we noticed that right away. The house was impeccably clean. The views, the quiet, the comfort. All the neighbors were polite and pleasant as always. The property management team was GREAT. Thank You. See you next year.

The experience was breathtaking just like the view, this home provided all the comfort away from home and more. The family has a lovely experience, especially being so close to the beach. The sunrise and being able to see the sea life from the balcony added an extra touch. We would stay once again but a little longer next time.

Amazing location but the property needs repair and updating.
The downstairs fireplace doesn't work, screen door kept falling off, upstairs screen door is missing, both TV's are too small, not one alarm clock in the unit, all being said you can't beat the location and oh Yeah, the barking dogs next door were a challenge, definitely takes away from the peaceful sound of the ocean

It was perfect from the ease to rent, location, condition of property. I’m missing it already. We’re coming back!

We loved this home. When an issue arose, the management company responded immediately. Also every bed plus each pillow was comfortable and like new. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Had a wonderful time at this coastal getaway. Could not ask for a more beautiful location. Enjoyed the beach experience and also hit several local wineries. The kitchen is a little dated but I thought everything else was exceptional.

The house has absolutely gorgeous views of the ocean, and stairs straight down to the beach. The interior is pleasant and comfortable. Our family had a wonderful time.

Overall, we had a great time at the condo. Very disappointed in the refrigerator. We had to pay for the propane. The garbage can was full when we arrived! we would stay there again.

Just spent a week here with family and had a great time. The location is great, the property is great and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Kitchen is well stiocked, even pantry had some common items to use. Weather was sunny with some wind in the afternoon. The people next door were nice, and yes she has dogs but they are little dogs so no issues with us. We had no problems and therefore no need to contact property management however I’m sure they would have done anything necessary to resolve an issue needed. My only other suggestion is that the owner get a new BBG grill. The current one is disgusting and I spent 30 minutes cleaning it before feeling comfortable cooking on it.

Great place! We will be back. Bring your own coffee maker if you don't want to wait 45 minutes for coffee.. lol The neighbor was friendly and her dogs rarely barked!

I would go back again any time. The condo was exactly as it appeared in the photos online, and the views were even better. It was large enough to be comfortable for our group of 6 adults, and very warm and cozy when the wind was blowing in cold off the ocean. The kitchen was decently well equipped, though a decent bread knife would have been appreciated for our wonderful bread from the farmer's market in Cambria. We saw the neighbor going in an out to the beach with her dogs but really did not hear any barking. Would love to go back again in a warmer season!

Unbelievable condo! I really don't want to review as I would love to keep this secret ;) but we had an amazing time. My husband and 4 year old son and myself stayed at the place but there is plenty of room for a larger group. Great amenities and just far enough from town to be secluded but close enough to grab food to go. The downstairs was comfortable but the upstairs was just amazing! great architecture of the building. Clean and cozy. Scenic Coast management company was very kind and responsive. Neighbor does have several dogs but she was very lovely during our stay. Thank you again and hope to come back asap ;)

I want the emphasis that the property management company is wonderful to work with and very helpful. The house is also beautiful. But the neighbors make for a very poor experience. There are 2 neighbors and they will
make your stay miserable. They yell at you through the window, call the mgmt company on you, stare at you on the porch as you come and go, take pictures of your cars, take pictures of your trash cans, shine a flashlight at you anytime you walk outside. Purposely park their cars to make it difficult for you to get in and out. Also the neighbor next door has dogs that bark a lot, but this was the least of our issues with the neighbor. When confronted about taking pictures of us, will just say “it’s their right and can do whatever they want”. Again prop mgmt company tried their best to fix it, but it continued the entire stay. Will rent again from the company (as we are repeat renters multiple times), never this house again.

This property's location for us was just what we wanted! We had the beach mostly to ourselves and the house was spacious and very comfortable. The only negative for our family was that the kitchen could use an update. We will rent this place again.

This was a perfect getaway. Beach access was fantastic. Our family enjoyed every minute.

This property is beautiful. What a great opportunity to escape and immerse yourself into coastal bliss! All reviews are quite accurate -- the neighbor is lovely and the house is clean and I think recently got a fresh coat of paint. Definitely will be coming back here again soon!

Beautiful views and the sounds of the waves crashing all night is amazing. It will get cold so the fireplaces (upstairs and downstairs) definitely came in wonderful. Great place to have a great group of friends or a big family come over to have a weekend getaway. The kitchen is a bit snug but the long table makes it comfortable enough to have 2 or 3 people in there while others sat at the table and kept the conversation going. The upstairs loft was a nice place to unwind. The wrap around patio on the 2nd floor was also very nice. Worth the price in memories that will be made here.

This was my second time renting this amazing place. Gets better every time. Can’t say enough about the location and the cleanliness of this property. I met the lady next door and she was friendly and informative. We’re planning another stay sometime In January if available. Planning it now even though we just got back lol.

We had a wonderful time here. The location was nice and quiet and what my family and I were looking for. From the pictures, this apartment is on the left side. There is a nice woman who lives next door with 4 dogs. The dogs bark on and off all day and night, which can become bothersome. There is a 1 car garage and enough room for 2 cars, 3 if you really squeeze them in. There are lots of beach towels, games, some beach toys, dishwasher and laundry soap all available. Both upstairs rooms have ceiling fans. All in all, I would definitely recommend and return

We were excited to get away during the COVID time and this came as a recommendation. The condo was perfect for the 6 of us! The set up, with the larger living area upstairs, was great for nighttime games. The dining table allowed for plenty of room for dinner and game time. We loved the evening sounds of the ocean waves and walks on the beach.

This was a great location for beach fun. The kitchen was too small for 10 people but that’s okay. The stairs to the beach need a little better lighting but other than that it was great

We really enjoyed our time here. The unit is very clean and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed being mere steps away from the beach. If it was windy, we set up on the second floor with a ton of windows, sunlight and awesome views up and down the coast. Questions directed to the management company were promptly and professionally answered. The kitchen and decor are perhaps a little dated, but overall, it was a comfortable and relaxing escape.

We enjoyed our stay at this was nice having two living areas.The kitchen is small but efficient. Parking was great. Steps down to the beach/sand were in good shape. It was easy to find. Not as much to do in San Simeon during the pandemic however happy to be able to spend time in a lovely location. We were close enough to the elephant seals, Cambria, and even Cayucos. The property was clean. We did have an ant problem, the management company addressed it right away when we brought it to their attention. I would recommend this place if you want a place right on the beach. It was quiet and serene. The tide pools were also appreciated for the little ones to visit daily.

Very nice two story condo with plenty of living space right on the ocean. The beach is just 20 steps down. Loved walking the beach, watching surfers and kite surfers and spectacular sunsets. A few minor things. Ants in the kitchen. No propane for bbq- we had to fill tank. Sliding glass door upstairs seems broken. Very small kitchen but we made do. New rug on patio would be nice.

Let me start with the only slightly bad things about the unit. Its an older unit and is model as such, older fixtures and older paint. That being said, it doesn't matter because just taking a look at the patio and the view it provides of the beach is worth every penny. The patio offers sweeping panoramic views of a slightly secluded beach with access to the water, hiking trails, and pure bliss. This unit is great for a family with older and younger guest. I would highly recommend this unit, enjoy your trip!

Relaxing 3 generation family time at the ocean. The tiny kitchen made cooking a one person activity, however the big table and long benches encouraged all of us to gather to eat together. It was disconcerting to have neighbors walking by, while we were eating, to go down to the beach on the stairs. However we adjusted to the flow of people and to the barking dogs next door. Enjoyed whale watching on the front deck and swimming in the ocean. Appreciated the large supply of beach towels. Enjoyed the availability of the cliff hike to the south of the Oceanfront Escape. The beach was beautiful in the moonlight and during the ever changing day light. We ran out of toilet paper and dishwasher soap.

This house was perfect for our family. Just the right amount of space for 6 adults and 2 teens. The views are spectacular, especially from upstairs.

Access to the beach is easy (right off the deck), and hearing the ocean as you fall asleep is so soothing. The kitchen is well stocked, making cooking more relaxed. The interior is clean and well maintained. There is lots of space upstairs for watching movies at night with the whole family.

Beautiful weather & stay in clean and comfy home

Gorgeous views, easy access to the beach, convenient location close to Cambria and Hearst Castle, peace and quiet, and plenty of comfortable space. Our family had a wonderful weekend here celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary by the sea.

This beach house in San Simeon is a perfect get away. The house is kept very clean and everything was great. There is a deck in front that overlooks the surf break with steps to the sand. I would recommend this property to any family that loves being by the ocean. Close drive to Cambria and big sur.

Loved this property! My kids and grandkids all want to go back. No more than 30 steps from the beach! Minutes to Cambria's restaurants and shopping. We usually like to be within walking distance of shops, but the drive to Cambria is easy and quick. There are also restaurants in San Simeon but we chose to go to places we knew in Cambria (Main Street Grill!). The house had everything we needed including extra beach towels and ample parking. There are two TV areas, one upstairs and one down. Kitchen is very small with enough space for one cook only, but we were able to make it work for us. There is no way pictures can depict the beautiful views, the small of the ocean, and the sound of the waves! Can't wait to go back!
