A Family Dream

Our family of four loved our Cambria ocean view home. We settled in to watch the NCAA tournament games with the crackling fire and open spacious common rooms with Pacific Ocean views. We all slept great in the comfy beds. The home was convenient to both town/dining and walks to the beach and Fascalini Ranch Preserve. We had a quick drive to San Simeon and were able to make a day trip to Morro Bay and SLO. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked. The Management Company was great with timely updates and clear directions. We would love to come back.

Had a wonderful time in this beautiful home! All the comforts of home and had everything one could ever need. Beds were beyond comfortable as well as amazing bedding. Everything was top notch including decor. Would definitely stay again. Beach access was amazing and enjoyed walking the neighborhood. Town was a two minute drive. Deck was amazing as well with beautiful views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! If you like to cook, this is the place for you. What a great, fully stocked, kitchen! We loved it.
The deck is really big and has a beautiful view towards Moonstone Beach. All the beds and bathrooms were super comfortable and the linens were really plush! The place was immaculate too.

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful home that was well stocked. One of the most important things to us is the comfort of the beds. They were perfect. My brother and sister in-law stayed with us and they were in a car accident about 8 months ago and still struggling with back and neck pain but they slept very peacefully. Thanks for everything.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in A Family Dreams. It's a great girlfriends vacation house. The bedrooms are all good size and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the patio is great for sunsets over the ocean with drinks and appetizers. One real issue is that none of the knives have been sharpened at all. It made cooking really difficult.
We are planning to come again.

A fantastic location with access to many attractions. Quiet street, clean interior. Only 3 stars on property's condition: Sadly, the exterior spaces clearly don't get the same attention as the interior. I ended up cleaning upon arrival (debris at front entrance, filthy back staircase from garage, deck furniture needed a serious wipe down- and the grime wasn't just from the past few days of weather). Connectivity in the house is very good. Awesome Cutco knives in the kitchen. The very worn Sur La Table nonstick pans, the SLOW coffee maker and the thin, formerly white towels all need to go. The good news is that you'll have so much fun you'll mostly forget those issues!

Absolutely loved this rental! The house was spotless and was stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen was a dream to cook in. The furniture was comfy. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and cozy. The bathrooms were CLEAN and had lots of towels and toiletries. Location was perfect.

In years past we have rented homes by the water. Those are now out of our budget and we discovered this AMAZING place that is located across from Shamel Park. Quite neighborhood. Some ocean view from rooms. We loved short walk to both Fiscalini bluff trails (thru neighborhood) and Moonstone Boardwalk. We had calamari and wine at Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill during one of our walks. Other than that, we ate all our meals at the house. So incredibly relaxing. I can’t think of anything that it was missing, we were very happy. We will definitely stay again.

The house was great and just as described and photographed. I appreciate when owners provide guests with so many of the little extras like dishwasher soap, body soap, washing machine soap, etc. It was great to have the full garage for our car, bikes and other toys. Excellent location to visit Hearst, Paso Robles, Cayucos, Morro Bay. Highly recommend!

My family came here for a four-day vacation to reconnect and bond. The location was convenient and close to Main St., Shamel Park, the beach and Moonstone Beach boardwalk. I was happy to discover that the house looked exactly as shown on the photos. It was very clean and the beds were all comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed this house, as we cooked dinner and watched movies in the great room; and drank wine and coffee, exercised mediated and did Yoga (out on the patio deck). Looking at our views to the beach was very relaxing!

Scenic Coast Property Management was very helpful too. The ice machine for the refrigerator didn't seem to work, so they scheduled someone to come out and look at it right away. But the repair couldn't be done during our stay due to scheduling. So they brought us a bag of complimentary ice to make up for it. Overall, this place is a "family dream" as described. I highly recommend it!

We come every year and always rent different homes. This was by far our favorite. So comfy, close to the beach and park. Every thing we would need for a great getaway.

The house was really nice. The proximity to the ocean and to downtown was perfect. The family room kitchen area was a great place to hangout during the day and in the evenings. The garage was ginormous.

The plethora of stars in this home also helped us to work off the delicious central coast foods and baked goods. A must stay location.

But, not conducive for seniors. Too many stairs & that steep driveway was insane.. My husband had knee replacement surgery, this house was a struggle. In the future u might want to mention.

Excellent beach rental!
-great open living room, dining room, kitchen area with tons of light.
-nice views of the ocean and the waves
-comfortable beds
-3min walk to the beach, playground, and easy access to hikes.
-All in all, a great rental for people looking for a nice trip to the beach. Would definitely rent again.

This home was lovely. The amenities and decor far exceeded others I have stayed at in Cambria. If you like cooking then this is the home for you. Top notch appliances and cookware. The views from the deck are spectacular. The only issue we had was the heater only because the thermostat seems to measure in the downstairs hall which is always cold with no vents. So the bedrooms got unbearably hot. I am ok with cold rooms under lots of covers but it isn't for everyone. We also tried to contact scenic coast a few times to request a late checkout but never heard back either via email or phone. It was a shame we had to depart early and not enjoy more of the home before heading out. Also we could not find any check out instructions. We just followed standard based on other rental experiences.

Completely updated and clean, large enough for a family and close enough for morning walks on the beach and watch the sun set from relaxing ocean view deck.

We were two couples that thought this house would fit our needs: King Beds, two bathrooms, no carpet floors, ideal kitchen and a view. This home was perfect for us. Sure, the driveway is steep and the home is multi level, but that was not important to us. The location was excellent. We walked to three different trails and to town. The deck was large with a great view. We cooked in every night except one, and enjoyed Madelines and their wine in town. The only suggestion we have is to provide guests with a guide to the area and directions on using the T.V. We figured it out and could sign in to our Netflix. We loved our week stay and hope to be back.

Great property for my family of 4. The place was very clean. While not a large place, the layout makes it very comfortable, with all bedrooms downstairs and an open kitchen, family room upstairs. The many windows bring in load of light and a nice peek at the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable.

This home seems to be newly renovated. It is nicely done and very clean and comfortable. There were 3 of us on a girls weekend. The house was just the right size and a great location. There are quite a few stairs though and the driveway is pretty steep if you have a low profile car. The property management was helpful with a problem with the garage door and the TV. A really nice weekend.

A lovely home, perfect location in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the park and beach. My husband and myself along with our daughter and son-in-law stayed 5 nights and really appreciated 2 king bedrooms. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want to prepare meals. The only thing I would suggest is one empty cabinet to store foodstuffs-cereal,bread, snacks etc.
The home is spotless with gorgeous views from the dining room and deck. We loved it and would highly recommend this home.

We have stayed in many VRBO/Airbnb’s, including 6 in Cambria. Many places are in great locations, but the condition of the home itself is dated. This is *not* one of those places! It appears as if the owners frequently stay here (i.e. not ignored as many other places are). As of this writing (November 2019), it looks relatively newly painted. The bathrooms/kitchen look newly redone (both in style and quality) - even something small like the backsplash looks new. The appliances are all high quality. Great open floor plan on the top level.

My only “warning” is that the driveway is very steep and at a large angle compared to the street. We could not drive our minivan up the driveway because our bike rack would scrape the street, so we parked at the bottom of the driveway. If you have guests with mobility issues, walking up and down the driveway may be challenging (i.e. if you want to walk to the park, which is a few minutes away)

The house was perfectly described and sits just a short walk from Moonstone Beach where my family spent many hours relaxing and rock collecting. the house had everything you need. the deck with ocean views was wonderful to sit out on in the early morning as the mist rolled in and to watch the evening sunset. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bedrooms were spacious. the beds themselves were really comfortable. I'd recommend this home in a heartbeat and our thanks to all for making it available to us for a relaxing break (we even had a family of deer stop by on the morning we left to say goodbye as if on cue to end a perfect stay)

The property was very clean and was equipped with everything that we needed. The beds were especially comfortable! The property was easy alking distance from the beach and trails, other attractions were within easy driving distance. Perfect location.

The house was wonderful. Spotlessly clean with every accessory you good ever imagine. The deck has a lovely view of the beach and it is a short 200 yard walk to actually get your feet dipped in the chilly Pacific. I would highly recommend this property for a family get together.

This is a beautiful, well maintained, clean home that is a short walk from the beach. The king-size bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and the master bath has a large shower stall. The kitchen has everything you need to do your own cooking. The dining room and the patio deck off the dining room both have an ocean view and there is a table with chairs for dining on the patio. It was nice to be able to park the car in the garage. The garage is the first "floor", the bedrooms and two baths are on the second floor and the kitchen, family room, dining room, and a half-bath are on the third floor. Just be aware that you will need to climb stairs to get around the house.

We had a fine experience with the rental check-in and check-out. We had a few suggestions for the home, which she wrote down when we checked out. All in all, a great experience and only 1 question about the garbage pick-up which they handled.

We rented this house to spend the weekend with our friends visiting from England. It was a perfect place for us to relax, visit and just spend time together. Plenty of room in the main living area for the 6 of us to cook, relax and even work.

Enjoyed this updated home with a fully stocked kitchen, super comfy beds and a relaxing living room. The deck was huge with nice lounging furniture. The partial ocean view towards Moonstone Beach was nice. As we are older, we would have preferred less steps from garage to house and from bedrooms to main living area but overall the house was lovely. Great base for wine tasting and strolling through the town of Cambria.

Beautiful property (not good for those with ambulatory restrictions due to stairs). Great views. Using the garage is a must due to steep driveway and off street parking requirements. Very clean, well maintained.

We rented this beautiful home to enjoy the beach, Cambria, and wine country! The home was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The open living floor plan allowed for us to enjoy each other’s company as well as cook, eat, play games, watch sports, etc. The bedrooms were very comfortable and allowed for us all tho have our own space. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for sharing your property with us!!

There were 6 adults and a 2 yr. old. The house was perfect, rooms were large, beds super comfy. Home had everything you could possibly want, great deck, close to the beach and a great park. Wish the weather had been better, just a fluke we were fogged in. I would definitely recommend this house for anytime of the year. I would go back for sure, gorgeous home!!!!!

This home was the perfect setting for our girl's get away. The home was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything a gourmet cook could ask for! The expansive view from the deck and living area was awesome! We enjoyed walking to Moonstone Beach and Fiscalini Ranch, strolling through the village, wine tasting and visiting Hearst Castle. Best of all it was a great home to just relax in and catch up with old friends.

We stayed in your lovely home with our two children and their spouses. It was such a restful, relaxing time! We enjoyed the location, visiting the beach every day and walking along the coastline on the lovely trails.
The house was very clean and well appointed. We loved being able to cook some of our meals there as well as enjoying the restaurants in Cambria.
We had a tour of Hearst Castle, which was nearby and was such fun.
We hope to return again as soon as possible!

This newly renovated house was a great place for a weekend on the central coast. We liked the layout of the house and location in Cambria, just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk The kitchen has everything you could need and is extremely well appointed. My only suggestion would be luggage racks/stands in the bedrooms. We would definitely come to stay again; we loved visiting Hearst Castle and checking out the elephant seals just a short drive away.

We rent in Cambria on average 5 times each year and that has been a LOT of houses. This location is definitely in our top 3 ever rented and so we know we will be back. It is everything the pics show and it is very clean which we really appreciate. They have a great eye for decor and the furniture is very comfy. The huge deck with a lounge area and a 6 person dining set is beyond perfect to enjoy the beautiful view and the sounds of the ocean. So happy this home is part of your inventory and thankful to the owners for sharing their beautiful home.
