Bristol By the Sea

Meeting in Cambria has become an important part of our year. It has helped our extended family stay in touch. Our numerous stays at Bristol by the Sea have created many memories.

Beautiful property . House was great for our family gathering. Plenty of room. Enjoyed the house and proximity to a park for the kids and the beach.

We rented this location for a small Corporation meeting. We had a enjoyable time. Nice view.

We strolled into this beautiful home on a Saturday afternoon and was very pleased with how much room it gave us as a family. We liked the set up, and it was very roomy on the inside. The only thing was the beds in the spare rooms were only doubles with a King in the master. My son is a little tall, so he was not very comfortable in the smaller beds. The windows in the dining room needed to be cleaned, and a few of windowns didn't open up. Besides that, we had a wonderful time and would love to go back again.

The minute we walked into the living room we were amazed by the beautiful ocean view. This home is nicely furnished and offers a lot of private space for a family. We would definitely come back again.

There are a group of women friends who come to Cambria every year, (17!) over MLK weekend. We have stayed in this home for many years in a row and it feels like a second home. Well appointed and in a great location.

This is a very nice house in a great location.
The set up bed-wise was not like in the description, but actually better: 3 rooms with queen/king beds, and then hold outs in the loft and (large) den (rather than one room having 2 beds).
Was missing a few basic kitchen amenities that in non-covid times might not matter but otherwise well stocked. Would be nice if basics like shampoo and salt/pepper were provided but not a big issue.
It poured rain while we were there and the roof leaked a bit (put a pan to catch drops) but not a big problem either.
I would love to return — only downside is price

Bristol by the Sea is a spacious and very well located home. The living and dining rooms are lined with windows which take advantage of the natural light and ocean view. The house has 3 bedrooms. The master is large and includes a spa tub and gas burning fireplace. The second bedroom is adjacent to the master bedroom and faces the street. It has a queen bed and is very small with no dresser or luggage stand. The bath is outside the room and is very small. The bedroom would have benefited from a small chest of drawers perhaps in the closet. There were ants repeatedly in all 3 bathrooms. The living room fireplace is not set up with gas logs and instead has candles. We had a rainy day and would have appreciated a working gas fireplace. The dining room table is large and great for board games but the light above the table was too weak to see well. There were several light bulbs out in the house, including a crucial one in the ceiling above the dining room table. The 3rd bedroom was downstairs attached to a nice large family room. It was dark and chilly and our friends could find no source of heat. The barbecue wasn’t gas, which we are accustomed to. All in all, the home is clean, spacious and comfortable and in a great location, a short block from the ocean. We had a lovely time but feel a few things would have added to the comfort of the home. We would most likely return.

Fabulous property - ultra clean, well-stocked and located in paradise. House was more spacious than expected. First class experience. A garage cable broke when we were there, but the management company/owner got it fixed right away. Great walks on Moonstone, Robin's restaurant was superb as were the Elephant Seals up the coast.

The house itself is beautiful, but the couch could use either replacement or a good reupholstery, as it was not very comfortable because of sagging and thinning cushions. The kitchen is wonderful and well-stocked with essential needs. Overall, we loved our stay.

But so disappointed that the 2 fireplaces and the jacuzzi did not work. Also broken toilet seat. These

This ocean view house is just steps from the beach, and a couple houses away from a park.The inside is beautiful and was perfect to 2 couples. The house is a tri-level and has bedrooms, family room with TV, frig, sink, and bathroom on each level. Perfect to share with another couple so we each could have our privacy. The kitchen is spacious and has beautiful granite counte tops. The neighborhood is very quiet and you can hear the crash of the waves. It is located about 2 minutes from downtown. Perfect for shopping and eating out. The only comment is it needs a gas BBQ grill. The charcoal grill was difficult due to the breeze. Everything else was perfect.

We had an invigorating,restful stay at the 'Bristol By the Sea" home in Cambria! The home is clean,comfortable and positioned well overlooking the ocean! Scenic Coast property management is professional to work with. Only two suggestions: check for ants in the pantry and bring your own chopping board if you plan to cook alot like we did. I will recommend to friends/family.

It's a nice house, with a great location and a really nice view of the ocean, but slightly overhyped as to capacity. It's an easy walk to Moonstone Beach, which was lovely, and an easy drive or a longer walk to Main Street. Great location for exploring the coast. The back deck was very popular with our group.

The listing says it sleeps 10, but there are only 3 actual beds, so some of your folks will need to be prepared to sleep on pullouts or on a couch, and our kids reported that the pullout chairs were very uncomfortable. The kitchen is adequately supplied, but not fantastically so. If you plan to do a lot of your own cooking, especially for a large group, you may want to bring some of your own cooking equipment. The grill was definitely a nice addition, though.

We loved the house! Appliances are top notch - Dacor throughout with two ovens and even a warming drawer. The problem we had was the lack of supplies. Very few soaps - didn't even last 3 days, no shampoos, no foil or saran wrap. Kind of ridiculous not to stock those given a $450 per night rate. For such a high class place - that was pretty low budget. I run two airbnb homes at a third of the cost and I supply ALL those things!
They also have a bit of an ant problem - very small ants though - not a huge problem.

We loved it so much, we reserved again for a cousin's retreat in the spring.

Only problem was no cleaning supplies available. Had to go to market right away for dishwasher soap, Lysol type spray for counters. Only empty containers in cabinet., no laundry detergent which was another trip to market, minimal dishwashing soap. Also need to bring own salt, pepper,etc as none is in pantry. Minor downsides but in past homes rented had basic supplies available on arrival. Not our experience here. Things to know to bring from home.

Its an amazing home with a great location and view. That being said, with Covid 19 going on, we wanted to come to a place that we could enjoy both inside and out. I had to work 3 of the days I was there during the day and the internet was horrendous. In addition, the cable is the lowest possible package. So for a family that plans to spend time inside, its not a good option. A family of 8 will struggle to do anything on the wifi network and not have much to watch.

We live just down south about 30-40 mins away, and this was a perfect little get away for us. We brought our four children with us and the house was perfect. Everyone could spread out and enjoy their time and it was a quick walk down to the beach to collect some drift wood. The house was clean and in great shape!! Thank you Val and Kimberley for setting us up in the perfect house for our family. Definitely will be going back!!

Five active grandmas spent 4 days, at this beautiful home, a block from the beach. It was spotlessly clean, well maintained, comfortable and safe. Not a squeaky stair in the place! There are 3 bdrms: 2 queens and 1 king, the rest are sofa pullouts. The downstairs, at garage entry, includes living area, full bath, 2 twin & full pullouts, wet bar, patio & laundry room. The loft has a double pullout. The large sofas are very comfortable for all night talks. The location is perfect with easy Moonstone Beach access and level walk to Fiscalini Reserve. There is also a nice grassy park at the end of the street. The house has a large kitchen; the dining room table seats 8, but easily holds 10 or 12 if you have kids. Other than coffee in the morning, and plates for takeout pizza, we didn't use the kitchen. JJ's in Cambria is the best for pizza. You can walk, on the beach, to the Moonstone Bar & Grille, and the Sea Chest. In Cambria, 5 mins by car, Lynn's and the Creekside Cafe are good for a large breakfast before a day of wine tasting. The Sow's Ear has wonderful dinners. There is a nice french bakery in Moro Bay (15 mins drive) on the wharf for brkfst, bread and quiche. Wine tasting is endless, and will take you to Paso Robles where there are too many good restaurants to mention, although Buona Tavola, Catch Seafood and The Fish Gaucho are very good. Cambria is a lovely town with shopping, coffee shops, and art galleries. We had a wonderful time, and will certainly return. This house is perfect for a large family (or 2 fams) for a week at the Central Coast.

We have always loved Cambria and decided to bring the whole family (with kids and grandkids) to celebrate for a week our 50th Anniversary and two birthdays. The house was very comfortable for the 9 of us. Outfitted well with kitchen equipment and offering a full laundry room, Bristol was perfect for us. It is clearly an exclusively rental investment and lacks the lived-in and loved atmosphere of a family home, but it is so well situated and accessible that we believe any large-ish group will have an excellent vacation here. Being so near park and beach is a huge plus.

This was the perfect house for our family of 10, 6 adults and 4 children. Everyone had a bed and room to spread out. It was particularly comfortable to have two living room areas plus the loft so that everyone could find a quiet place if they needed it. The location was fabulous, being within walking distance to Shamel Park where we had a family reunion and close enough to the water to hear the waves on the shore. It is definitely a go-back-to destination.

Our family of 10, consisting of six adults and four children, enjoyed this spacious house. Views of the ocean and proximity to the community park and pool, beach, and walking trails was a wonderful bonus for this site.
Though two of the three bathrooms were small, and the single car garage was a bit of a challenge to access, we would stay here again. (There is a double car garage around the corner from the single car garage.)

We 9 grandmothers splent our 39th "Mom's Weekend Away" at this lovely home in Cambria. We all had a bed to sleep in and the loft was particularly nice to hear the waves crashing to lull one to sleep and the dawn chorus (the birds) to wake you in the morning. We shopped and ate in downtown Cambria. but we also took advantage of local wine tasting, Olive farm, olive oil tasting and lunch (Kiler Olive Farm), beach walks, Hearst Castle at night (great!!), hike on the San Simeon Trail at Wm. Randolph Hearst State Beach, elephant seal observation and lunch at Ragged Point with live music.

Priceless able to walk to beach and park with Grandkids!

This is a lovely, comfortable, and very well-appointed home. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in the Cambria area.

The house is easy to find, has a nice (partial) view of the ocean, and is close enough to the beach that the sound of waves will lull you to sleep at night. The interior is beautiful and comfortable. The master suite was fantastic and the kitchen is extremely well-appointed compared to other properties we've stayed at. If traveling as a family or as a group of friends, this is far superior to a hotel because the two large common areas are great places to hang out and socialize.

Also, the check out process is a breeze, making it nearly as easy to leave as leaving a hotel.

Our 4th time to this home-love it. The semi secluded large space downstairs was great for my son & wife young twins that still nap. The rest of us were in 2 bedrooms on main floor, grandchild on futon in "cookoos nest" as we call it. The kitchen well appointed, deck is amazing, beds all very comfy except futon(too hard even with air mattress on it)-the consolation is the sound of the surf all night. I enjoyed walks on the beach (1 minute to sand) and the breathtaking views. it's pricey, but location is worth it!!! The home was slightly dirty 2-3 years ago, back to great condition this year and well cared for. BBQ on deck is weber charcoal...caution in evenings with the winds however...have a plan B for meals in that case (or eat out)

Our family truly enjoyed this spacious well located home. Easy access from 101 and downtown.

We had a fantastic time. Three couples and plenty of room. Beautiful sunsets and great friends made for a weekend of sightseeing and great food.
The house was a delight, except for one of the bathrooms that was extremely small. It all worked just fine.

This house is in a very nice location, the beach and park are 5 min. down the road. Great fireworks show out on the deck. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking pots and pans etc. I would like to thank the manager at scenic coast for there great service. OUTSTANDING!!
