Berwick at Wales with EV Charger

We were having a Christmas Reunion at our own family home nearby, and rented the house for some of our family members. Without a doubt it is one of the most wonderful places we have ever rented. So clean, so beautiful, so well organized and well stocked, so pleasant to relax by the fire, on the deck, etc. We will be back!!!

It was a very easy process. from picking up the keys to finding the rental was a piece of cake. The management company answered all my questions and were available at anytime if needed.

We are part time Cambria residents and we rented this house for use by family members coming to visit for a weekend whom we did not have space to accommodate in our home. The location was perfect and the house was clean and very well set up. The view from the deck is excellent and the house was warm and welcoming. I recommend this house highly and we will likely rent it again when we have more visitors that our home can accommodate.

We had two minor issues:
1. Internet was not working when we arrived and it took awhile to find the internet router to re-boot it. Once we did that, it worked fine.
2. The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms really only sleeps one person as the lower bunk is very close to the upper bunk (hazard of knocking one's head if one sits up at night.) I understand from the property management company that the owner has already ordered a different kind of bunk bed for this room.

This was probably the tenth time we have stayed in this great house! Unfortunately, our last. The 3rd bedroom switched from 2 twins to a queen bottom bunk, with a twin bunk over it! Getting into the queen bed that is raised off the ground for storage underneath was a problem! And the bunk on top left minimal space. for the queen sleeper-head banging and claustrophobic! The top bunk is way to high and you have to use the bottom bunk to get up in it! Doesn't work 4 ladies! Luckily the new couch was comfortable for the 4th sleeper.

The house was very nice and roomy. Had mostly everything needed for cooking and being comfortable. Beautiful view of the water and loved seeing the deer roaming the property. Overall nice stay and would stay here again.

I have stayed with CVR many times over close to 20 years. This stay was a hassle, and unsatisfactory. I had important Zoom meetings and the internet kept going down. The television kept going down. We spent a couple of nights without hot water in the downstairs bathroom. The hot water problem was fixed, and the individual who was in charge of fixing the internet did a good job, but it was a constant hassle. We did not get a restful stay, it was very tense the entire time due to the internet problem. I called the "emergency" number more times in this one visit than in all the other times I've stayed in a CVR, which were as many as 4 times per year, from around 2002. We were disappointed and think that some compensation should be offered for the hassles we had to go through.

We've been staying at Berwick at Wales for many years. Like us, the house has aged and needs a bit of attention. A chair at the dining table had a broken spoke. We taped it so it would not wound anyone. I noticed another chair was missing a spoke. Torn screen and rusted frame on slider. Cobwebs noticeable on the beams in all rooms. Time for a window wash. Downstairs double bed so uncomfortable our guests tried the twin beds in the 3rd bedroom but they found no comfort there. TV was, as usual, impossible to figure out. And the lovely deck has quite a bit of rot and surely needs a new seal on the worn wood. Back yard overgrown. We absolutely love the location and the quiet neighborhood but were disappointed in the state of the property.We always return to lovely Cambria but we'll be looking for a different place to stay next time.

Everything was clean and tidy. Would like the house keys to be on site vs at the property managers office. The outlets for the electric barbecue didn’t work, only the outlets by the dining room worked. Overall, a great stay!

We celebrated two birthdays in this beautiful home. The house had everything we needed. The only minor complaint was that the twin bed matresses were not very comfortable for an adult sleeper. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

We had a great stay at Berwick at Wales in Cambria. This place is completely stuck in the early 90s in every way, which in an odd way makes it feel like home. It's a great space with high ceilings, three spacious rooms, and nice separation between downstairs and upstairs. It's really ideal for a family with the two bedrooms downstairs, but would work well for a 2-3 couples as well. It's also walking distance to a couple of trails and has a beautiful ocean view.

It was a pretty clunky experience to have to go pick up and drop off a key from a separate property management office in town. Like the house the property management could use a modern update. There are so many ways to safely provide keys to renters at the home and use online signatures for paperwork. Overall I still think the rental can upgrade a few things, but if you are looking for a decently priced clean and comfortable stay this is a great option.

Great find in cambria. We loved our stay and proximity to paso robles and San Luis obispo were a plus. Wanted to visit Hearst castle but it was closed. Still had enough to to for 4 days.

We've stayed in this home several times. To us, it's like coming home each time. Comfortable, well furnished (love the grand piano!) through-out. Kitchen equipment is top shelf. Deer walk through the yard each afternoon, street is quiet, view of the ocean less each year as the trees grow taller but we can still see it.

Been coming here for years with the family. Very spacious and centrally located. The master bedroom bed is very small. Can make sleeping difficult. That's the only issue.

We loved this vacation home. The property is very well maintained, is in a good location with an ocean view through the trees. The kitchen and home are fully equipped. The wifi is good.

We loved our stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable and well maintained. The house is spacious and we loved the big windows to let in the light and see the ocean. The neighborhood is very quiet, but convenient to town, beach and the preserve. We would definitely stay again!

The house exceeded are expectations. Extremely clean and in great shape. Almost afraid to come home after a day at the beach.

My family came up here during hot fire season in Los Angeles. This home was exactly what we needed. It was on a beautifully serene street. We loved the trees that surrounded the house. Waking up to the dewy fog each morning and seeing the deer out the window was quite a treat for all of us. I would highly recommend. The house is lovely and was spotless! We would love to go back.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Berwick. The location was excellent, the kitchen had all of the needed supplies to cook and there was plenty of space for our family to stretch out. The house could use some upgrades but don’t let it deter you from booking.

Very clean and lovely home with large open rooms. All amenities you could want. The property is located in cottage country. Only problem was the difficulty in operating the TVs. Instructions on using the remotes would be helpful. They were different than our own at home and we couldn’t get off the one channel.

This was a fantastic home, great price, and a super short drive to the only suggestion would be to upgrade the master and lower bedroom queen mattresses.For as nice as the home is, the mattresses are horrible!Upstairs has a lump in the middle of the bed. Also it was unusually hot upstairs when we were there , no fans and couldn't get AC to move any air.

We've been staying at this home for 20 years. It is beautiful with and perfectly designed, immaculate, with perfect views of the outdoors. I would recommend it to everyone!

The house was very clean. There were 3 of us so we had our own rooms which was super. Very well appointed. The down side is the up stair master bedroom had a huge lump in the middle of the bed. No instructions on the use of the tv so after trying everything we still could not watch tv which was disappointing. They need instructions written out.

We had a fantastic stay. The house is great so large, light and airy upstairs. We watched hummingbirds and woodpeckers from the balcony and deer visiting the garden. Kitchen had everything you need. Downstairs is a great size too but we preferred to be upstairs where it was warmer and lighter. Would definitely recommend for a quiet, super comfortable stay. You can walk to the ocean and to the ranch reserve land and easily drive inland or up and down the coast. We would love to return some day.

Nice home that worked great for us. Very quiet and peaceful location, nice open and bright floorplan. Extremely clean and well maintained. Although we enjoyed the house, the beds were terribly uncomfortable and desperately in need of replacement. We all woke up with terrible backaches every day. If the owners were to invest in some high quality mattresses, the home would be perfect.
Property management company was great to work with. Check in/out was a breeze.

The house was spacious and clean, and suited our family very well. The location was great for an escape from the Arizona desert heat. I would definitely consider returning and/or recommending this place to friends.

The only issue we had was the steel bars that the property owners use to protect the vegetation along the driveway. Those steel bars are not friendly to tires, and cost me a ripped sidewall and a trip to Santa Maria to get the only replacement available within 100 miles. Seems like a few well placed stones would provide adequate protection, without the risk to tires or pedestrians.

We had such a peaceful and relaxing time staying at the Berwick home. You feel like your in the mountains with just minutes to the beach. Surrounded by trees and wild life. It was so nice to wake up to deer in your yard every morning. The house was very comfortable and clean. I loved the window seat and spent hours there enjoying the outside and reading. We would recommend this home and love to stay there again in the future.

I was treated to a Cambria get-away for my birthday. The home we rented was so comfortable, clean and well located. We like to cook, so the well appointed kitchen was a plus. I would definitely recommend this rental property for anyone who can manage stairs. My only recommendation for improvement would be a new mattress for the master bedroom. Love Cambria!

This home was perfect for our family! We loved how big it was and the large kitchen was awesome. We cooked many meals and enjoyed every minute in this house. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Our family would love to stay in this house again!

As always, we had a wonderful stay at Berwick and Wales. It was clean and beautiful and we love the location. We did have a problem figuring out how to use the t.v., which we have used before with no trouble. One of the remotes was missing. Property managers
tried to help. There are "directions", but they are difficult to use because they are in several different books, handwritten and date back several years. My husband finally got the tv to work, but that was through hit and miss fiddling with all the remotes.
Also, there were no tissues anywhere in the house (there have been kleenex in the past), and there was no soap for the sink in the downstairs bath. These are minor problems, but the tv one should be addressed by the owner. We loved our stay, enjoyed the games
they had at the house, and, of course, we'll be back!
